NEW MEXICO. TB, 32”, Early-Midseason. Separating out the colors…that is what chromatography is. The falls on this iris seem to be doing just that. The white center of the falls gradually spreads out into the dark purple on the edges. A bright orange beard stands out brightly in contrast to these colors. The standards are white with a light greenish tint on the midribs. The branching is good with an average of 7 buds. A friend who was growing this for me had one with 13 buds on several terminal branches!! Here in NM it has rebloomed. Best Seedling at Mesilla Valley Iris Society in 2018 in an entry of 16.
